Assess · Requirements Assessment

Know where your existing requirements need attention.

Aimspace reviews the requirements your implementation team already has. Get clear findings linked to sources and prioritized next steps for the work you intend to deliver.

One identified version of your requirements and agreed supporting material. We confirm that the work fits the standard Assessment before it begins.

When it helps

You have requirements. You need a clearer view of their quality.

For implementation consultancies preparing a build, taking over a project, or checking requirements before a material change.

Before implementation

Identify unclear requirements, conflicting rules, and missing decisions before the team relies on them.

At a project handover

Understand the strengths and gaps in inherited requirements, rather than assuming a large document is ready to use.

Before a significant change

Check whether the existing baseline gives the team enough context to assess the proposed work.

What we assess

Concrete checks against your implementation purpose.

We distinguish what is supported, what needs attention, and what cannot be evaluated from the supplied material.

Clarity and specificity

Can the implementation team understand what is needed and where detail is missing?

Consistency and contradictions

Do requirements, rules, and supplied evidence agree, or point to conflicting interpretations?

Coverage and exclusions

Does the material address the stated purpose, with missing areas and exclusions made visible?

Evidence and traceability

Can important requirements be traced to their sources, rationale, and related records?

Priorities, ownership, and assumptions

Is it clear what matters, who owns decisions, and which assumptions still need checking?

Acceptance conditions

Are there useful conditions for checking the requirements, without treating them as tests already performed?

Open decisions

Which unresolved choices could materially change the implementation?

Readiness for the intended use

What needs attention before this material can support the next implementation step?

What your team gets

One assessment package with clear next actions.

Connected findings your team can use to decide what to clarify, investigate, or remediate. Includes one consolidated factual-correction round for the assessment findings.

Findings summary

The material weaknesses and what they mean for the stated implementation purpose.

Evidence-linked issue and gap register

Specific issues, affected requirements, and the supplied evidence behind each finding.

Traceability and coverage findings

Missing or unclear connections, relevant exclusions, and areas that could not be evaluated.

Prioritized recommendations

What to address first and why, with diagnosis separate from the work needed to resolve it.

Next actions and readiness considerations

Practical next steps, decisions, and further evidence needed before moving ahead.

A bounded review

Agree the question before assessing the material.

01

Set the purpose

Tell us what your team needs to implement or decide, the project boundary, and what requirements material exists.

02

Confirm the standard scope

We identify the baseline version and supporting evidence, then confirm fit for the US$2,500 Assessment. Evidence exchange is arranged for the engagement.

03

Review the findings

Receive the assessment package and return one consolidated set of factual corrections to the findings. Underlying remediation is separate.

Diagnosis and remediation are separate.

Assessment does not include correcting every underlying requirement, new full stakeholder discovery, rebuilding the requirements package, architecture, implementation, or unlimited reassessment of new versions. It is not certification, a guarantee of completeness, or formal project approval.

An unclear baseline may need Assessment first. Material remediation or rebuilding may need a Sprint or work outside the standard offer. A clean external baseline can be considered directly for Continuity; Assessment does not automatically repair it or guarantee eligibility.
